Lex Greensill is almost certainly not the most eccentric company founder backed by SoftBank’s Vision Fund.

He called his supply-chain finance company an “agent of technological disruption” when the Japanese conglomerate invested just under $800m into it in May. But the UK-based Australian looks every inch the traditional banker, in dark suit, shirt and tie, when we meet at his rather bland office on the Strand.
