AnaCap Financial Partners has held a €300m ($364m) final close on its first private equity fund, which will be targeted specifically at opportunities in the European financial services sector.

Analysts believe that the financial services sector, which has so far proved relatively unpopular with buy-out firms, is ripe for more private equity investment.
