JP Morgan's Jamie Dimon and Lloyd Blankfein of Goldman Sachs will be the only investment banking chiefs of a US bank with more than three years experience in that particular role, after Ken Lewis said he will retire as chief executive and president of Bank of America at the end of this year. Bank of America said in a statement yesterday that Lewis, chief executive officer and president, had notified the board of his decision to retire, effective December 31, 2009. The board will continue planning to ensure his successor is selected by that date.
