Andersen, the accountancy firm facing charges of obstruction of justice in the US that threaten its survival, has denied allegations by the US government that its London office shredded documents relating to its audit of Enron, the collapsed US energy company.
On Thursday, the US Justice Department indicted Andersen on one count of obstruction of justice claiming the accounting firm shredded "tons" of Enron-related documents.
