Andersen has appointed Marc Gillespie to head the firm's UK corporate finance team, allowing former head Chris Rowlands more time to concentrate on building up the rest of the Western European practice.

Rowlands remains part of Andersen's corporate finance UK leadership team. The move reflects Andersen's commitment to the UK market, by far the firm's largest in Europe, while indicating the importance of the rest of Europe for the growth of the firm's practice. Gillespie has good relations with the private equity community, having joined the firm in 1995 from 3i, the pan-European private equity group.
