New UniCredit chief executive, Andrea Orcel, has shaken up the Italian lender’s upper ranks, slimming down its executive committee and handing a bigger role to its corporate and investment bank.

Orcel, who took the reins of the Italian bank in April, has cut 12 people from its upper echelons in his first major move at the top.
