The former chief executive of the Financial Conduct Authority Andrew Bailey angrily hit back at criticisms over regulatory failure to prevent the collapse of minibond firm London Capital & Finance, saying there were no easy fixes that could have prevented its collapse.

Further, Bailey said that he inherited a “broken machine” in the FCA.
