The chairman of Banca Antonveneta is poised to resign just over a year after he took the post, following the completion of Netherlands group ABN Amro's takeover.

Augusto Fantozzi, who was appointed in June last year, told Il Sole 24 Ore that he will resign following the Italian bank's integration.
