ANZ Investment Bank, the investment banking division of Australia and New Zealand Banking Group, has hired a new head of primary markets for Europe, Middle East and South Asia to boost its London team.

Gary Griffiths joins from Fortis Bank, where he worked for the last three years, most recently as head of global syndication. He will take the place of Chris Vermont, who has been appointed as head of project and structured finance at the bank in London.
