Apax founder beats target for VC fund

Bridges Community Ventures, the venture capital fund set up by Apax founder Sir Ronald Cohen to invest in the poorest areas of the UK, has exceeded its initial fundraising target by 50%.

The firm beat its initial target of £50m (€74m), and surpassed its original hard cap of £60m to riase £75m to be inested in the poorest 25% of wards across the country.
