Maurice Tchenio, one of the co-founders of Apax Partners and a pioneer of private equity, announced he is stepping down from his position as chief executive of Apax Partners France to set up a social enterprise.

After 39 years heading up Apax Partners France, Tchenio is passing the reins to Eddie Misrahi, a partner at the firm.
