Apax lines up $300m Israel buyout fund

The fund will be the firm's first targeting mid-market buyouts in the country

Global buyout firm Apax Partners is planning to launch its first-ever private equity fund dedicated to mid-market buyouts in Israel, according to people familiar with the matter.

The firm, which has previously raised Israel-focused funds dedicated to venture capital investments and smaller growth capital transactions, is in talks with investors ahead of launching a formal fundraising process at the turn of the year, targeting $300 million, one person said.
