Adrian Beecroft, the former chief investment officer at Apax Partners and a former chairman of the British Venture Capital Association, has returned to his venture capital roots by joining a London-based boutique.

Beecroft is to become the chairman and fifth member of Dawn Capital, which focuses on growth investments in telecoms, media and technology as well as in finance.
