Angela Knight, chief executive of the Association of Private Client Investment Managers and Stockbrokers (APCIMS), met with Werner Seifert, chief executive of the Deutsche Börse, to ask about the practicalities of the Xetra trading platform at a meeting in Frankfurt on Friday.

APCIMS also asked for a second time for a delay to the vote on the merger of the London Stock Exchange and Deutsche Börse, set for September 14.
