Apollo’s Leon Black earned $142.5m last year

Leon Black, the co-founder and chief executive of private equity firm Apollo Global Management, collected $142.5 million in dividends, gains from the firm’s investments and salary for 2016.

Black’s 2016 earnings, detailed in a regulatory filing Monday, were 2% lower than the year prior, reflecting a reduction in the amount of profits and capital returned from his investments in the firm’s funds.
