Commodities hedge funds continued a run of poor performance in April - it was the only strategy to post losses during the month and is the worst performer for the year so far.

The average performance of commodities hedge funds has dipped to -1.87% in the year so far, thanks to a 0.95% loss last month, according to research from data provider eVestment.
