Arbuthnot Securities, the small and mid-cap boutique formerly known as Old Mutual, has hired James Steel from Citigroup to head its corporate finance division.

Arbuthnot has been hiring throughout the year and across all divisions, including corporate finance, sales and research. It now has 25 staff in corporate finance and is looking to recruit more next year.
