Archipelago, a US-based electronic stock exchange and trading systems provider, has added access to over-the-counter bulletin board (OTCBB) equities transactions via a new electronic trading and matching system.

The OTCBB market is traditionally traded using the telephone, and has outdated order delivery mechanisms and infrastructures. Investors were looking for an easier way to trade OTCBB stocks.
