Arcontech aims to cut out data vendors with Radianz deal

Arcontech, a real-time market data specialist, is to offer its products and services over the Radianz network. This will allow institutions to create shared networks of data that bypass such information vendors as Reuters, Bloomberg and MoneyLine Telerate. Radianz is 51% owned by Reuters and provides all its telecoms bandwidth but is run autonomously and can sell its surplus bandwidth to other users.

Under the deal, Arcontech's CityVision StarNet software will be used over RadianzNet to create data subnetworks connecting producers and consumers of real-time market data.
