Arden Asset Management, a global fund of funds investment management company, has hired Natalie Birrell as a managing director. She was previously chief operating officer and managing director of Deutsche Bank Asset Management's institutional business in the US.

Birrell reports to Averell Mortimer, president and chief executive, and will be based in New York.
