Argentina faces mounting pressure ahead of debt swap

Pressure grew on the Argentine government to complete a successful debt restructuring as the Institute of International Finance warned of slowing investment in emerging market economies.

The IIF, the global association of financial institutions headed by HSBC chairman Sir John Bond, warned specifically that the governments in Argentina, and also Turkey, must resolve their economic crises if investment into emerging markets is to start growing again.
