Ariel Capital Management, the Chicago-based money management firm, is automating its equity trading by implementing the Financial Trading Platform from Macgregor, a global provider of buy-side trade order management systems and FIX network services.

The firm, which has more than $10bn (€9.5bn) in assets under management, has chosen the portfolio management, compliance and FIX network components of the Macgregor platform.
