Two portfolio companies of Arle Capital Partners, the firm that spun out from Candover Investments, have made acquisitions in one day, as the firm focuses on strengthening portfolio companies ahead of exits.

UK courier and logistics group DX Group announced today that it has acquired logistics business Nightfreight. The deal was financed using cash reserves from DX Group's balance sheet, after the company bolstered its financial position after refinancing in April 2010, a person close to the firm said.
