Arpad Busson, the high-profile founder of hedge fund firm EIM Group, has stepped down as a trustee of Ark, the children’s charity he co-founded more than a decade ago with fellow financiers including Paul Marshall and Ian Wace.

Ark, or Absolute Return for Kids, funds health, education and child protection programmes, according to its website, because education systems "are failing to give poor children the education they need to succeed in life the world over".
