Ashmore bags new $250m Dutch mandate

Ashmore Investment Management, the emerging market debt specialist, has picked up a $250m (€230m) mandate from PME, the Dutch metal industry workers pension fund.

This is the second mandate that Ashmore has won in the Netherlands in the last three months. In June, the firm won a $26m mandate in emerging market local currency debt from Lucent Technologies' Dutch pension fund. That mandate is to be managed within Ashmore's local currency debt portfolio, while PME's mandate is being managed as a separate account.
