Ashmore Investment Management, the London-based emerging market debt specialist, was the top performing emerging markets currency manager in June, according to the Parker Emerging FX Index.
Virginia Parker, president of Parker Global Strategies and creator of the Parker Emerging Market and Parker FX indices, said: "Russia was the driving factor behind performance for June, as the S&P upgrade to B and fundamentals continue to show improvement." The indices are the first to analyze unleveraged performance to calculate pure currency alpha, or manager skill.
