Ashurst set to rival Pokemon

Law firm Ashurst Morris Crisp, which has been rebranded simply as Ashurst, may have adopted a pithier name, but it has splashed out in other areas.

It has printed business cards which bear the Ashurst name in seven different colours. According to Ashurst's marketing department, now headed by Maria Galassi, who joined the firm from the spectacularly defunct Boo.com, the idea is that Ashurst lawyers will hand their clients a card of the appropriate colour to match their personalities. The concept seems unlikely to rival Pokemon for popularity. Or so you'd think. A senior executive at Barclays Capital appeared on a recent internal Ashurst video in which he could not contain his excitement. "This is better than Airmiles. I want to collect all seven." Should BarCap be one business card short of a full set, we will be happy to oblige – we have them all.
