Schroder Salomon Smith Barney is the frontrunner to be financial adviser to Austria Technologie & Systemtechnik (AT&S), the Austrian printed circuit boards manufacturer, on its planned acquisitions in Asia.

The bank is currently advising AT&S on a share buyback of up to 10% of its shares, which will be used for acquisitions and fulfilling the company's Long Term Employee Incentive Plan.
