Goldman Sachs bosses cling to some old technologies - top executives still leave company-wide voicemails for staff on weighty topics such as the US presidential election. But as its chairman and chief executive stressed in a presentation, the Wall Street bank is using technological innovations to ensure it is recruiting the best talent.

In a presentation at Credit Suisse’s Financial Services Forum in Miami Beach on February 7, broadcast via Goldman Sachs’s website, Lloyd Blankfein said: "We're building new technology into our recruiting process. Now we use first-round video interviews to widen and diversify our pool of talent and expand our reach."
