Atlantic Telecom to rebut bond investor calls for liquidation

Atlantic Telecom, the troubled UK telecom group, is expected to dismiss calls from a group of bondholders that the company should cease operating and liquidate its assets, claiming that the group represents a minority view.

Atlantic Telecom's management and bankers from Close Brothers, the company's adviser, are to respond officially to the investors' demands at a meeting on September 7.
