Atlas Venture, the early-stage private equity firm with offices in Europe and the US, has hired Tim Wilson as a principal in its life sciences investment practice.

The firm hopes Wilson's experience and familiarity with this highly technical sector will help with deal generation. Wilson has a PhD in molecular biology and has 14 years' investment banking experience focusing on biotechnology securities. He has conducted 25 initial public offerings and spent more than a decade as a senior equity analyst.
