Audit experts have welcomed the UK government’s decision to grant companies more time to file their annual accounts to ease administrative burdens brought on by the Covid-19 outbreak. 

Around 4.3 million UK businesses registered with Companies House can now apply for a three-month extension for filing accounts, according to a joint statement from the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and Companies House.
