Auditors duck Boohoo tender after PwC stands down

Boohoo has been the subject of a string of press reports that companies in its supply chain were paying staff less than the minimum wage

Four major audit firms have decided not to pitch for fast fashion business Boohoo’s audit mandate, after the company ran into a reputational storm after reports emerged it used suppliers who paid less than the minimum wage.

In a stock exchange statement on 19 October Boohoo said PwC remains its auditor, but said it had started a tender exercise for a new firm to take the role.
