Auto insurer Hagerty plans listing via Spac deal

The combination with Aldel Financial could bring up to $820m of gross proceeds to the combined business

Speciality automotive insurance provider Hagerty is going public through a special-purpose acquisition deal that would give it an enterprise value of $3.13bn, the companies said.

The combination with Aldel Financial could bring up to $820m of gross proceeds to the combined business, including the contribution of up to $116m of cash held in Aldel's trust account from its initial public offering in April, the companies said on 18 August.
