Aviva, the UK’s largest insurer, announced George Culmer as its new chair — succeeding City veteran Sir Adrian Montague, who is stepping down from the board on 31 May.

Culmer, who will start his new role following Aviva’s AGM on 27 May, has been the senior independent non-executive director at the insurer since January this year. He joined the board in September 2019.
