Aviva halts bonuses for top execs amid Covid-19 pandemic

Fnancial services firms have been curbing pay and bonuses and pledging donations to help with Covid-19 relief efforts

Aviva, the listed UK insurer, has put a hold on pay rises and annual bonuses for its top executives amid the ongoing Covid-19 crisis.

In a statement from on 16 April, Aviva said that executive directors and members of its leadership team will not be considered for any bonus for 2020 until dividend payments are restarted for its shareholders.
