Aviva Investors boss warns against calling stock market bottom

'I’ve been somewhat surprised to read confident predictions from seasoned investment professionals calling the bottom,' says Euan Munro

The chief executive of Aviva Investors, the £346bn fund management arm of the UK-listed insurer, has warned against any attempt to call the bottom of the market rout prompted by the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In a post published on Aviva Investors’ website on 3 April, Euan Munro said the coronavirus pandemic — and the subsequent global sell-off — is “not like any crisis we have experienced before”.
