Euan Munro, the chief executive officer of £319 billion Aviva Investors and the architect of Standard Life Investments’ £50 billion Global Absolute Return Strategies group of funds, has joined the 17-strong board of the UK’s fund management trade body.

The Investment Association, whose members manager over £5.7 trillion, confirmed in a statement on January 18 that Munro, who joined Aviva Investors in January 2014, had joined its board, following the departure from the board of the former chief executive of Invesco Perpetual Mark Armour, who retired from the industry late last year.
