Avocet Capital Management, the London-based European technology hedge fund being set up with the support of internet billionaire Mike Lynch, has hired Priyanthan Kodeeswaran from Deutsche Asset Management.

The move sees Kodeeswaran, who joins the fundamental stock picking team, being re-united with Avocet founder Clare Flynn. Both worked together at DeAM. Between 1997 and 2000, Kodeeswaran specialised in emerging markets equities and European technology at DeAM. He most recently managed 46 funds worth a total of $1.4bn (€1.5bn).
