Financial technology startups will not transform the asset management industry in the way many believe because they are often the wrong parties to work with.

That is according to Michael Kollo, deputy head of research and chief quantitative strategist at AXA Investment Managers' Rosenberg Equities unit, who also mentors fintechs and cyber security startups.
