Axa Investment Managers, the fund management subsidiary of the French insurance giant, has hired Frank Richter from Merrill Lynch Investment Managers as director of institutional business in Germany.

Richter will be responsible for client relationship management and acquisition of new business from corporations, pension schemes and insurance companies.
