Axa Investment Managers, the fund management arm of the Paris-headquartered insurance group, has appointed Marco Morelli as its executive chair, replacing Gérald Harlin who will retire in September.

Harlin has been in the post since December, following the departure of former Axa IM chief executive Andrea Rossi. Harlin delayed his retirement to take on the executive chair role, and was tasked with implementing the next phase of Axa IM’s strategy and accelerating development.
