Dubai's Axiom cancels IPO on liquidity and market concerns

Flotation valued at £1bn has been withdrawn despite high demand from international investors

Axiom Telecom, a Dubai-based mobile phone distributor, said on Monday it cancelled its initial public offering and listing on the Nasdaq Dubai because of liquidity and market concerns.

"While there were sufficient orders to fully cover the IPO book at the price range, primarily due to demand from high quality international investors in Europe and the US, there were widespread concerns about market conditions and liquidity," the company said in an emailed statement.
