Bahrain’s Investcorp triples inflows to private equity unit

The alternative asset manager said clients' appetite for the asset class has driven the growth

Alternative asset manager Investcorp more than tripled the level of inflows into its private equity arm in the 12 months to 30 June, with placements and fundraising reaching $1.9bn.

The Bahrain-headquartered asset manager said client appetite over the period remained strong, in its annual results published today. The increase in fundraising was partially driven by the creation of a $1bn European private equity buyout vehicle in January, with secondary investor Coller Capital as an anchor investor.
