Graham Wood has quit Baillie Gifford after only one year to join rival UK fund manager Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, where he will be head of global sectors.

Wood, a Standard Life veteran of 21 years and former investment director, joined Baillie Gifford in March last year. He moved into client liaison, a new area for him, but then shifted to the firm's UK equity desk as a fund manager.
