Bain and KKR seek $1bn for Asia

US buy-out firms Bain Capital and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts are seeking $1bn (€810m) of loans to finance acquisitions in Asia.

Bain Capital wants $600m (€487m) to buy the Japanese and US vending machines business of confectioner Mars, and KKR is borrowing $400m to fund the purchase of Singapore-based Flextronics' Indian software unit in India's biggest ever leveraged buyout, bankers close to the firms told Bloomberg.
