Bain Capital buys German clothing firm for €64m

Bain Capital, the global investment firm, has acquired Jack Wolfskin, the Germany based outdoor clothing retailer for €64m (€63m), from its US parent Johnson Outdoors.

Johnson Outdoors put Jack Wolfskin up for sale as the unit did not fit in with its core outdoor equipment business. Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein advised Johnson Outdoors on the disposal.
