Baker & McKenzie, the law firm focused on private equity and mergers and acquisitions, has hired Lutz Zimmer, a former investment banker from WestLB Panmure.

Zimmer will join the firm's Munich office as a partner advising on private equity and mergers and acquisitions issues. He previously worked in the financial sponsors divisions of WestLB Panmure where he advised venture capital and private equity firms. He then joined the bank's mergers and acquisitions team, specialising in public and reverse takeovers.
