Brian Moynihan, chief executive of Bank of America, has confirmed plans to up spending on recruitment in the firm’s investment bank, following an uninspiring set of annual results.

Speaking to analysts on January 16, Moynihan said the bank would focus on adding resource in the US, as it was the “biggest fee pool by far”, but added he also wanted to bulk up staff numbers in Europe.
