Bank of America Wednesday said two former banking-industry executives would join its board, a sign the bank is beefing up its financial-services expertise.

The new members are Clayton Rose, 54 years old, a Harvard Business School professor and former JP Morgan Chase executive, and Pierre de Weck, 63, a banking executive who has worked at Deutsche Bank, Citigroup and UBS.
